St. Paul police looking for hit-and-run driver who struck man on mobility scooter

Police are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck a man on a mobility scooter in St. Paul.

Officers responded about 9:10 p.m. Thursday to Phalen Boulevard and Rose Avenue, and found a 65-year-old with life-threatening injuries, said Sgt. Toy Vixayvong, a St. Paul police spokesman. St. Paul Fire Department medics transported the man to the hospital.

The suspect was in a dark-color sedan and drove away.

Investigators from the department’s Traffic and Safety Unit are handling the case. Police ask anyone with information to call them at 651-291-1111.
