Stillwater/Mahtomedi led 3-2 after one period, but the Trojans responded with four quick goals in the second to take control and never looked back.
The state title was the Trojans’ third, and it came a year after finishing runner-up in 2024.
Mason Mora-Clark scored a game high five goals for Stillwater/Mahtomedi after scoring six in the team’s semifinal win over Mankato.
South Washington edged Mankato 10-9 in overtime of the third-place game thanks to Jordan Nde’s goal in the extra session.

Brainerd 3, Dakota United 2, OT
Brainerd eighth grader Eric Fordyce was attempting to clear the puck from near his own net in overtime, and it turned into something a whole lot better. Fordyce’s clear found the back of the net to cap Brainerd’s perfect season with a thrilling state title victory.
Brainerd has now won five of the last seven state titles.
Dakota United topped Brainerd in last year’s semifinals. Brainerd has won 13 straight matches since, including three victories over Dakota United in that span.
