Source: Vikings agree to terms with edge rusher Jonathan Greenard

It took the Vikings roughly 45 minutes to minutes to make a splash on Monday.

As the NFL waited in anticipation for franchise quarterback Kirk Cousins to make a decision, the Vikings agreed to terms on a deal with edge rusher Jonathan Greenard. A source confirmed the agreement to the Pioneer Press. He can officially sign with the Vikings on Wednesday.

Though he might not be a household name quite yet, Greenard is slowly in the process of becoming that. He posted 12 1/2 sacks in 15 games with the Houston Texans last season. His presence provides defensive coordinator Brian Flores with a very talented player that can rush the passer with reckless abandon.

The move likely means that edge rusher Danielle Hunter will be headed elsewhere.
