Trevor Sawallish
North Memorial Health, a Robbinsdale-based network of hospitals and clinics, announced it has named Trevor Sawallish as its chief executive officer. Sawallish succeeds Dr. J. Kevin Croston, who announced his retirement after 30 years with the organization. Sawallish most recently served as North Memorial’s chief operating officer.
ADVERTISING/PUBLIC RELATIONS
Marketing Architects, a Minnetonka-based TV advertising agency, announced the launch of sister agency Misfits & Machines, a venture incubator and accelerator focused on AI and technology. The team includes Marketing Architects founder Chuck Hengel, Chief Product Officer Rob DeMars, marketing veteran Jordan Mauer and former Amazon solutions architect John Ryan Cottam.
AIRPORTS
The Metropolitan Airports Commission announced the hire of Alison Kelly as labor and employee relations manager. Kelly most recently served as the manager of labor relations for Ramsey County. The MAC owns and operates Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and six suburban airports in the Twin Cities.
ENERGY
The American Clean Power Association, a Washington, D.C., lobbying group, announced that Brian Van Abel, executive vice president and chief financial officer at Minneapolis-based Xcel Energy, has been named treasurer among several nationwide industry leadership appointments.
FEDERAL RESERVE
The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis announced the appointment of Timothy Devaney to senior vice president and general auditor. Devaney joined the Fed in 1984 and most recently was system leader in financial management, financial accounting and controls.
FINANCIAL SERVICES
Yukon Partners, a Minneapolis-based middle-market junior capital firm, announced the promotion of David Sampair to partner. Sampair joined Yukon in 2011; he previously was a senior financial analyst with Ameriprise Financial. … Audrey Villeneuve has accepted a board position with the Minnesota-Twin Cities chapter of Women in Insurance and Financial Services, a nationwide organization supporting female agents and advisers. Villeneuve is senior sales consultant at IFC National Marketing, a Coon Rapids-based insurance marketing organization, which announced her appointment.
FOOD
Hormel Foods Corp., Austin, Minn., announced the promotion of Matt Schrupp to vice president of supply chain operations — Jennie-O Turkey Store. Schrupp has been with the company since 1992, most recently as Jennie-O vice president of operations.
HEALTH CARE
Presbyterian Homes & Services, a St. Paul-based senior housing and care provider, announced the retirement of President and CEO Dan Lindh after more than 47 years with the organization. The PHS board of directors has launched a national search for the next CEO.
MEDIA
Twin Cities PBS (TPT), a St. Paul-based public television network, announced the hire of Nick Kereakos as chief content officer. Kereakos previously served in multiple executive leadership roles at Minnesota Public Radio | American Public Media, St. Paul. … The Minnesota Newspaper Association announced that Crystal Miller, publisher of the Albert Lea Tribune and Austin Daily Herald, was elected the organization’s 143rd president, succeeding Chad Koenen of Henning Publications. Justin Lessman of the Jackson County Pilot was named first vice president, Tara Brandl of the Tracy Area Headlight Herald second vice president and Kelly Boldan of the West Central Tribune of Willmar third vice president. Other directors are Steve Jameson, Free Press of Mankato, Bill Gaier, Finance & Commerce and Ted Almen, Kerkhoven Banner. Tim Douglass, Pope County Tribune, Glenwood, will serve as treasurer.

Patterson Cos., a Mendota Heights-based national supplier of medial equipment to veterinary and dental practices, announced that Pamela Tomczik has joined its board of directors. Tomczik is senior vice president, treasurer and corporate development at Target Corp., Minneapolis.

Amy Peterson was installed as the 2024 president of the Saint Paul Area Association of Realtors. Peterson is a member of the National Association of Realtors Housing Opportunities Committee, was named Minnesota Realtor of the Year in 2022 and has been a Realtor for 20 years, currently with the Edina Realty office in Blaine. Also installed were Jennifer Livingston, president-elect, and Tom Wiener, treasurer.
