Police officers, firefighters and emergency medical service providers will be stepping into the boxing ring June 15 to raise money for the YWCA of St. Paul.
The first annual Twin Cities Battle of the Badges will be held at Myth Live, 3090 Southdown Drive in Maplewood. Proceeds will go to the YWCA St. Paul to support community programs and initiatives.
The night will feature more than a dozen bouts following all USA Boxing Association regulations, ensuring each boxer is registered, licensed and insured. Officials, referees and doctors will be present, according to organizers Element Gym and the YWCA.

T-shirts and concessions will be sold at the event and charitable donations can be made at the event and online at tcbattleofthebadges.org.
Tickets, $50 for general admission (unseated) or $70 for VIP (unassigned seating), are available at mythlive.com. The event begins at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.
