First responders to box it out at Battle of the Badges for YWCA St. Paul

Police officers, firefighters and emergency medical service providers will be stepping into the boxing ring June 15 to raise money for the YWCA of St. Paul.

The first annual Twin Cities Battle of the Badges will be held at Myth Live, 3090 Southdown Drive in Maplewood. Proceeds will go to the YWCA St. Paul to support community programs and initiatives.

The night will feature more than a dozen bouts following all USA Boxing Association regulations, ensuring each boxer is registered, licensed and insured. Officials, referees and doctors will be present, according to organizers Element Gym and the YWCA.

Tickets, $50 for general admission (unseated) or $70 for VIP (unassigned seating), are available at The event begins at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m.
