Long before latest DC crime lab troubles, some employees raised concerns

As city leaders prepare to appear before a D.C. Council oversight roundtable about the lab’s troubles, WTOP has learned some former and current employees were concerned about DFS Director Jenifer Smith’s leadership long before the lab lost accreditation, and that some of them raised the matter with other officials in D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser’s administration.
