Southbound Interstate 35W in Dakota County will face road closures and lane restrictions beginning Monday so crews can do roadway striping, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said.
9 p.m. Monday. Beginning at 9 p.m., Monday, Dec. 1, southbound I-35W will be reduced to one lane between Highway 13 and Burnsville Parkway until 5 a.m. each day. The reduced lane closures will end at 5 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4.
9 p.m. Wednesday. Beginning at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, through 5 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, ramps from eastbound Highway 13 to southbound I-35W and southbound I-35W to Burnsville Parkway will be closed.
6 a.m. Saturday. On Saturday, Dec. 6, beginning at 6 a.m., southbound I-35 will shut down from I-494 to the I-35W/I35E split. Motorists will be directed to use eastbound I-494 to southbound Highway 77 to southbound I-35E to southbound I-35 until the freeway reopens at 9 p.m. Saturday.
“MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution, and slow down in work zones where workers are present,” the agency said, noting that closures are subject to change.
