Pierre Raymon Mack, 29, was on foot Wednesday morning when he was struck and killed by a construction vehicle with a boom attachment, according a spokesperson for the Minnesota State Patrol. The investigation of the incident is ongoing.
“Pierre was a kind, genuine, hardworking, and loving person whose life was tragically cut short in a work accident,” fundraiser organizer Daezanae Johnson wrote on the GoFundMe page. “His sudden passing has left his family and friends heartbroken, as he touched so many lives with his generosity, laughter and warm spirit.”
Johnson wrote that donations will go toward funeral expenses and helping the family manage any unexpected costs that come with the tragic loss. As of Saturday afternoon, the GoFundMe had raised more than $6,000.
