Grown-up boy band the Jonas Brothers will return to St. Paul’s Xcel Energy Center on Oct. 10.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster. The All-American Rejects open.
Siblings Kevin, Joe and Nick formed the Jonas Brothers in 2005 and rose to fame two years later when they signed a deal with Disney’s Hollywood Records. After making a guest appearance on Miley Cyrus’ Disney Channel show “Hannah Montana,” they hit the road with Cyrus as her opening act. Soon after, they began headlining arenas on their own.
After releasing four albums, the trio canceled what was to be their fifth record together and a planned 2013 tour, citing a “deep rift within the band” over “creative differences.”
The brothers then focused on their solo careers, with Nick Jonas picking up radio play with his singles “Jealous,” “Levels,” “Close” and “Chains.”
In February 2019, the Jonas Brothers announced they had reunited and released a new single, “Sucker,” which entered the Billboard charts at No. 1. The trio’s album, “Happiness Begins,” went platinum and also topped the charts.
While they haven’t replicated the success of “Sucker,” the brothers did return to the charts with “Only Human,” “Lonely,” “What a Man Gotta Do” and “Leave Me Before You Love Me” as well as their sixth album, which they called “The Album.” They also played the X in 2019 and 2023, Mystic Lake Casino Amphitheater in 2021 and the Minnesota State Fair Grandstand in 2023.
The upcoming tour will offer a “full, career-spanning journey” of the Jonas Brothers catalog along with sets dedicated to Nick Jonas’ solo career and his 2010 album with the Administration, which featured former Prince sidemen Michael Bland, Tommy Barbarella and Sonny Thompson. Joe Jonas’ solo career and work with DNCE will also be represented.
