Presbyterian Homes and Services, the nation’s fourth largest nonprofit senior living provider, has appointed a new chief executive officer to oversee its 8,000 employees and 61 senior living communities.
Jon Fletcher, who has served the Roseville-based and faith-driven nonprofit for the past eight years, will become CEO on Feb. 1.
Fletcher takes the reins at a time when the number of older adults ages 85 and up is expected to nearly double from 7.4 million to 14.4 million between 2025 and 2040, according to Presbyterian Homes and the U.S. Census Bureau. He currently is the senior vice president of Senior Housing Partners, the organization’s development arm, which consults for nonprofits across the country.
The nonprofit, which launched in 1955 and operates senior living communities across Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin, plans to extend its footprint into new service areas and geographic markets. Fletcher will fill the spot currently held by CEO Dan Lindh, who is stepping down after 48 years with the nonprofit.
The nonprofit, which serves 37,000 older adults, also operates Genevive, the largest geriatric primary care practice in Minnesota, which offers care to more than 15,000 older adults.
Fletcher holds a business degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and dual undergraduate degrees in Christian ministry and music performance from Crown College. A U.S. Army veteran, he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He is married and has two daughters.
