The Gophers picked up a commitment from offensive lineman Kaveon Lee for its 2025 recruiting class.

The three-star tackle prospect from Plainfield (Ill.) Central, is listed at 6-foot-6 and 275 pounds and had other offers from Kansas State, Purdue, West Virginia and others.

“I’m blessed to be in this position!” he wrote on social media. “Thank you (head coach P.J. Fleck and offensive line coach Brian Callahan) for this opportunity.”

The Gophers now have 22 commitments for next year’s class. They can sign with the U starting Wednesday.

The Gophers have two interior offensive linemen in the class Nick Spence of Peoria, Ariz., and Mark Handy of Albuquerque, N.M., and two tackles, Lee and Daniel Shipp of Corona, Calif.

The U had two previous O-line prospects de-commit during the cycle: Nelson McGuire, of Midlothian, Texas, going to Texas A&M, and Zac Stascausky, of Portland, Ore., headed to Washington.
