Singer/songwriter Brandi Carlile’s sold-out Saturday night concert at Target Center will be broadcast live on 89.3 The Current.

Her performance from the Minneapolis basketball arena, which is scheduled to begin at 8:15 p.m., will also be available for purchase as a video stream for $29.99 from veeps.com. The stream will be available for 48 hours and is the only live video to be released from her current tour.

Carlile is donating all proceeds from the veeps.com livestream as well as $2 from each concert ticket sold to the Minneapolis-based legal aid nonprofit The Advocates for Human Rights.

“I couldn’t bring myself to get onstage in Minneapolis in front of over 12,000 people without recognizing what Minnesotans are going through,” Carlile said in a news release. “I wanted to take this opportunity to harness the power of music and raise funds for The Advocates for Human Rights, who need our funding to heal generations of trauma at the hands of ICE. Now, more than ever, it is vital that we continue to hold each other and take action to stop the hate that is spreading through our country. What affects one of us, affects all of us and we need to continue to look out for each other.”

The Twin Cities have been one of Carlile’s biggest markets since she entered the scene in 2005. She’s played more than 30 shows in the metro, from First Avenue and the Fillmore to the former Xcel Energy Center and Minnesota State Fair Grandstand.
