Collins has been at Minnesota since 2017 and most recently served as the safeties coach and pass game coordinator. He will still coach the safeties.

In addition, Mariano Sori-Marin, a former Gophers linebacker who was assistant nickels / linebackers last season, is now linebackers coach, and Dennis Dottin-Carter has been promoted from senior defensive analyst to rush ends coach.

Fleck also said he has hired Kevin Kane, as nickels / outside linebackers coach. Kane spent the past two seasons as Purdue’s defensive coordinator.
