Candidates for Ramsey, Washington, Dakota county board seats square off in Tuesday’s primary

Voters will choose among candidates for county board seats in Ramsey, Dakota and Washington counties in Tuesday’s primary election.

Candidates in District 7 in Ramsey County, District 5 in Dakota County and District 3 in Washington County will compete to move forward to the Nov. 5 general election. The top two vote-getters in the primary will advance. Last month a forum was held for Washington County candidates.

Here’s a roundup of the candidates:

Ramsey County

In District 7, four candidates have filed to run for a commissioner seat. They are Kevin “KB” Berglund who can be reached at treehuggerhabitat@gmail.com; Kelly Miller, whose information is available at votekellymiller.com; Sarah K. Yang at votesarahyang.com; and Michelle Yener at michelleyener.com.

Dakota County

In District 5, there are four candidates. They are Yusuf Haji whose information is available at hajifordakota.org; Bruce Johnson at presidentbruce@yahoo.com; Phillip “Phil” M. Sterner at phill.sterner@gmail.com; and Liz Workman at towo1225@yahoo.com.

Washington County

In District 3, there are four candidates. They are Bethany Cox whose information can be found at www.bethanycox.org; Scott “Cutter” Junker at CutterJunker@yahoo.com; Michael Schultz at MichaelSchultz41@gmail.com and Mark Wiens at wiens4washco.com.
